► My parents came in Delhi nearly two decades ago from Bihar to Delhi. In order to avail government services they got the Delhi based documents like Voter Id, etc. but with different names not the name which they were known to the village in Bihar. Reason being they were not able to get the documents through original village name. Although they had the voter id which was based in Bihar with original name. Now around 2017-2018 they got realised about and they updated their all documents based on village name by publishing in the newspaper and using village voter id card which had village name. Now two years ago I got to know all the things. Then I explained them that you don't no that you should have had published your name change in Gazette. So they did all the things last year. Now dilemma comes that if I update my documents like adhar, voter id etc. then it will mismatch with my Educational documents as these have Delhi names of my parents. And updating my matriculation, College degree, etc is very very difficult. Do I didn't update my parents name in my gov based docs as I don't want to face any issue while applying for any govt examination. Now I want legal opinion on this. What can we do while keeping in mind that SIR is being conducted in Delhi and I submitted my unchanged documents along with my parents gazette notification copy. Now I want your take.
