Dear Client,

According to Islamic law, Talaq-e-Hasan can be given by pronouncing three times during three successive periods of purity. While written communication of talaq is usually required to be valid, some courts may consider the failure of delivery as evidence that valid service was made if the wife refused delivery. However, on the basis of the precedent in Shamim Ara v. State of U.P., courts have a duty to scrutinise pronouncements and require proof of prior efforts at reconciliation. Therefore, uncommunicated second and third pronouncements would appear to make the talaq disputed or invalid unless a court determines otherwise. I hope this answer helps, if you have any further query kindly do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you
