► We are 4 tenants in an unapproved structures made in a building compound & have paid the builder for that. But now we got to knew that our structures are not coming in builder’s CTS boundary & it was built on a neighbouring plot. We are here from more than 25 years & no one has claimed the plot. Can we claim Adverse Possession from the actual owner & get conveyance. Also is it possible to form a society of 4 members & obtain deemed conveyance. In documents we have old light bills only since there is no society formed. I understand that getting title transfer from actual owner is the best option, but in current price scenario if we approach the landowner who is in sleep mode, will obviously raise a huge demand beyond our capability so kindly suggest the cheapest option possible. Thanks in advance.

A tenant shall always remain tenant. Merely that you tenants are in possession as tenant for 25 years does not confer any ownership right to you. Adverse possession even cannot claim as matter of right not adverse possession can be a matter of any claim. payment of bill or tax etc. does not constitute ownership.
