► How to apply for free legal advocate who can help me with divorce procedures in mumbai. And who can also help me transfer the case to Gujarat.
Currently me and my kid are residing at my in laws residence which is in Bhuj - Kutch, Gujarat
But since my husband is residing purposefully in mumbai since 1 year to file a divorce. I will be in need of free legal help. As I m unable to pay advocate fees. I wanted to enquire how do I apply for free legal advocate advicer who can help us go through the legal procedure and also help us transfer the case to Bhuj - Kutch Gujarat. Where we actually got married. And living currently here only.
So in case my husband file for divorce it will be hard for us to travel there every single hearing as my husband is also not providing monthly maintenance fo me and my kid.

1. Visit Bhuj District Court and go to the Legal Aid Cell Office.
2. Carry your ID proof, marriage certificate (if available), child’s birth certificate, and proof of current residence (ration card / Aadhaar).
3.Tell them you need free legal aid for divorce proceedings and a transfer petition, since your husband is purposefully filing in Mumbai.
4. They will appoint an advocate free of charge for you.
Your appointed free legal aid lawyer can file a Transfer Petition in the Supreme Court (if case is filed in Mumbai family court) OR in Gujarat High Court (depending on exact situation).
