► In my office, there exists pick and choose policy. I am targeted by senior officer. If I get 5 minutes late, they issue show cause notice and then impose penalty. Except me, all other employee comes late but they don't impose penalty on them. It is a case of office harassment and partiality.

Dear Client,

Perceived punitive measures could lead to workplace harassment. You should carefully keep track of every instance of such bias, along with evidence showing that other employees show up late but are not charged for it. The initial course of action would be to lodge a complaint with either the Human Resource department or the Internal Grievance Redressal Committee of your organisation for an infringement of the company code of conduct about the principle of fairness. In case you work in a government job, these arbitrary actions may violate Article 14 of the Constitution of India (Right to Equality). For those employed in the private sector, reliefs may also be available depending on the employment status under the applicable State Shops and Establishment Act or under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. I hope this answer helps.
