Hello,
No, the minors consent is not required as the guardian (is presumed to) take steps and actions in favour if the minor. However, upon attaining majority it is the Minors wish whether or not he ratifies such acts and actions.

Minor is not competent nor his consent has any legal validity. It is father or guardian who can act for benefit of minor.
