► I am pursuing my Master degree through distance mode. My University is not responding to emails, phone calls, not providing textbooks (receives book fees but supplies only pdfs), and lacks transparency in the process of reevaluation or answer script photocopies. University just collects fees on time right from the admission, exam registration, subsequent year fees etc. It has become extremely difficult to pursue the course due to persistent denial of minimum essential services apart from sending receipts of fee remittance. What legal action I should prefer against this University?

Dear Sir, as per your query,

Firstly, send a legal notice to them asking to redress and solve your problems. If they dont reply within 15 days, you can:

Consumer Case – File a complaint for deficiency in service for non-supply of books, lack of response, and opaque revaluation despite collecting fees.

Writ Petition – Approach the High Court under Article 226 seeking directions to the university to provide basic academic services and transparency.

Regulatory Complaint – Complain to UGC / Distance Education Bureau (DEB) for violation of mandatory student support norms.
