► We awarded a construction contract to a contractor and paid him approximately ₹32 lakhs. However, the quality of work is very poor and the work is incomplete. Several issues are clearly visible: Bathroom tiles are breaking The toilet seat is not properly aligned and is unusable Floor tiles are not fixed properly and are uneven Overall finishing is untidy and below acceptable standards We made the payment by lending against our insurance policy. Based on our assessment, the contractor has completed work worth only around ₹28 lakhs, despite taking the full amount. We are planning to take legal action, but we are concerned about recovery, as we doubt whether the contractor has sufficient assets. We also want to avoid spending a large amount on court proceedings if recovery is uncertain. We are therefore seeking cost-effective legal options to recover our money or resolve the matter what are the options I have?.

Hello,

The best cost effective process will be

  1. Send your contractor a legal notice
  2. File a Consumer Complaint.
